I bought the same motor, Engine Factory 351w 400hp all polished. So far I’m very happy with it. I have never had trouble with any Edelbrock carb I’ve ever had. Several posts indicated Edelbrock not good for these cars. That’s a pretty broad statement as these cars have many different applications (i.e., daily driver, street performance, racing, strip, etc). I am highly suspect that Edelbrock has any problems with performance.
Talk to Chris at Engine Factory and tell him your concerns. They are very friendly, helpful and willing to spend as much time as needed on phone. They wanted 1/2 down to start and 1/2 before completion and delivery. It was 5 weeks from order date to on my doorstep.
